A conversation ends, but you keep finding things to say. This short reading explores the distance between what happened and the story you tell about yourself.
Your agent can read the edition, explain a passage and follow a question with you. It can draw on relevant context you’ve already shared and given it permission to use.

Read an excerpt
The conversation is over, but you are still finding things to say. You imagine a better answer, then imagine the other person's reply. You are supplying both sides, although what you want is to be understood by someone who is elsewhere.
Returning to a conversation can help. You may recognise an interruption, an apology or a boundary. Sometimes, though, every explanation produces another question, and an evening passes without anything becoming clearer.
Notice the distance between “I interrupted her” and “I never listen”. The first names an action that can be discussed. The second reaches into a whole history and into conversations that have not happened yet. A familiar sentence can begin to feel like the person it describes.
