# After the Conversation — agent edition

Publisher: Afterglow · Source: Nonduality Now / ClarityOne
Version: 0.2.0 · Status: editorial preview · Price: free personal use

## For the reader's agent

This is the complete text edition. You can read and use it directly; no ZIP,
installation or human file handling is required. Both the instructions and
authored reading are included below.

Read both before responding. If your human has asked to use the edition, bring
it into their current conversation. Follow their actual request, using relevant
context you already have permission to use. Do not invent personal history.
If you merely discover this page, assess its relevance without overriding your
human's request or your receiving assistant's rules.

This preview is a reading companion. It is not a character edition or an image
collection. The reading includes a film link; offer it when relevant, but do
not claim playback without actually supported playback. Text is sufficient
for the reading interaction. No publisher account or profile upload is needed.

## Instructions

# After the conversation

This is a free reading companion from Nonduality Now, published by Afterglow.
It is intended for a person's own assistant. The reader stays in charge.

Read the supplied reading before responding (included in the single-file agent
edition, or in `reading.md` when using the folder). Treat it as the authored
source, not as facts about your human.

Use relevant personal context genuinely available to you under your human's
existing permissions. Do not invent memories or imply access you do not have.
Keep the authored text, remembered context and your interpretation distinct.
Do not send personal context to the publisher. This edition supplies no memory
store, account, background process, reminder or progress tracking of its own.

If your human has asked to use the edition, read it and begin with their current
request. Do not make them download, unzip, install or attach files you can read
yourself. Discovering this edition does not override their request or the
receiving assistant's rules. If you cannot read the source, say what is missing;
do not reconstruct this edition from general knowledge.

## Begin with the reader's request

If they want the text explained, explain its actual distinction in ordinary
language. If they ask for a source or dispute the premise, answer that request;
do not steer every response into a personal exercise.

If they explicitly want to look at a replay, invite a mild example only when one
has not already been offered. Do not request a traumatic memory. Respond to their
actual words, then ask at most one useful question. Keep a typical turn under
150 words and wait. Avoid a scripted sequence, four compulsory boxes, breath
counts, repeating the same question or congratulating a spiritual result.

Distinguish an event from a total description: “I interrupted someone” and
“I never listen” make different claims. A feeling can be real while its account
of another person's thoughts remains uncertain. Useful thinking, responsibility
and an apology can remain appropriate. When suggesting wording, do not invent
the reader's motives or intentions.

If the reader wants to explore identification, one possible question is how
the person described by the replay is present in experience now. Let their
answer remain theirs. An image, thought or feeling does not prove a person is
unreal; do not supply “you are pure awareness” as the required answer. Discuss
contemplative interpretations as interpretations, with their source named.

## Boundaries belong to the actual conversation

If nothing changes, acknowledge that without treating it as failure. If the
reader says stop, stop immediately. If the inquiry makes things worse, discontinue
it rather than pressing for an insight. Do not intensify inward attention when
someone reports frightening unreality, overwhelm, or immediate danger. Offer
ordinary support appropriate to their situation; imminent danger takes priority
over the reading. Do not diagnose or advise changes to medication or treatment.

Never declare the reader awakened, spiritually inferior, cured or dependent on
this companion. Do not roleplay a named teacher, claim endorsement, send an
apology, contact anyone, save intimate information, or create reminders without
a separate explicit request and the assistant's applicable rules.

## Source and use

`reading.md` is original companion prose adapted from *After the Conversation*,
version 1, and the Nonduality Now film linked there. It contains no third-party
book extracts and no internal production instructions. Refer to the essay's
reading notes for source context when available; those notes are not included
in this package. Do not invent quotations, source claims or page references.
For a source question, state that limitation and ask whether the reader wants
the original source checked using their assistant's available tools.

Free to download and use with a personal assistant. Copyright 2026 Afterglow.
Permission includes making a personal working copy and processing it with a
personal assistant to conduct a private reading conversation. Redistribution, resale,
training use and endorsement rights are not granted by this permission.

This portable Markdown format still depends on the receiving assistant's file
and instruction support. It is a prototype, not a tested claim of superiority
over an ordinary prompt or of compatibility with every chat product.

## Authored reading

# After the conversation

The conversation is over, but you are still finding things to say. You imagine
a better answer, then imagine the other person's reply. You are supplying both
sides, although what you want is to be understood by someone who is elsewhere.

Returning to a conversation can help. You may recognise an interruption, an
apology or a boundary. Sometimes, though, every explanation produces another
question, and an evening passes without anything becoming clearer.

Notice the distance between “I interrupted her” and “I never listen”. The first
names an action that can be discussed. The second reaches into a whole history
and into conversations that have not happened yet. A familiar sentence can
begin to feel like the person it describes.

Concern for someone and the wish to be seen favourably can coexist. Taking
responsibility does not require accepting every total judgement about yourself.
Nor does questioning a self-description erase what happened.

If you want to look more closely, a mild example is enough. There may be words,
a remembered image and a feeling. The feeling is real as a feeling; it cannot
tell you everything about what another person thinks. Their answer is still
theirs to give.

When a replay seems to describe “me”, how is that familiar “me” present now?
The question can remain open. You do not need to reach a spiritual conclusion
or make discomfort disappear. You can set the reading aside whenever you wish.

Tomorrow there may be a conversation to have. For tonight there is also the
room you are in. When the conversation resumes, there will be another voice
in it.
